Rachel's favorite table setting

"What makes the perfect table setting?" is a question that I get asked often.  There are infinite possibilities when it comes to setting your table and it can feel a little overwhelming.  One of my favorite settings we have created at the shop is the Spring Garden Party tablescape.  I always like to start with a neutral plate and then layer different textures and materials.  A beautiful white dinner plate is always a nice foundation.  I was inspired by an outdoor garden party and layered accordingly.  The first layer is actually a throw that usually resides at the end of my bed.  Next round woven placemats were added to give a nice contrast to the tablecloth & dinnerware.  I mixed Vietri's "Incanto" and Arte Italica's "Merletto" together to create an artsy and interesting mix of dinnerware.  The monogram napkin tops off this setting with a sweet hydrangea napkin ring.  Hammered flatware and glasses offer up a warm look.  I made a sweet spring floral garland that ran down the middle of the table with curly willow branches and tucked in sweet hydrangeas and roses. Throw in a few votive candles, and the perfect garden table is set.
