Sunday HAPP(Y)enings: June 20, 2021
Happy Sunday!
I love Sunday at our home. It's quiet because everyone seems to sleep a little later, and it's the day when we do our most family together things like going to church, going out to eat for Sunday lunch, group grocery shopping, washing up clothes and tidying up around the house. We wash our cars together on Sunday...Sunday is our reset day for just about everything.
My typical routine is to wake up bright and early. I make coffee & grab a notebook, planner, and super big calender. I love to plan out the week, write down all my thoughts, make lists, make menus, and sometimes just day dream. I savor all the quietness and wait until about 10am to start waking up my family (yes, they would all sleep to noon if truth be known). I love our church and singing to the Lord and just getting my heart centered and in the right place.
We almost always run through the car wash, go out to eat, and go to Aldi's after church service. It's our weird little routine and we like it!
During my Sunday morning quiet time, I'm not going to lie, it's also my favorite time to read food blogs, search for home decor ideas, and cruise pinterest. Sometimes I even tune in to Sunday Mornings on TV because I love the positive stories of hope and resilience. If it's a pretty morning, you will always find me on the porch with all my notes, coffee & sweet Mae.
This Sunday is extra special! I'm in Tupelo, MS celebrating the marriage of our sweet Carey's son, Bryant. When we talk about our Ye Peddler family, y'all we mean it! It's also Father's Day, so I have to mention two special men in my life...My Dad & sweet husband! I also want to remember my precious father-in-love, David.
Dad has a special heart for our community and the people who live in it. He's been a family doctor here since 1979. He has taught me the power of kindness, patience, humility, and loving God. He is even tempered, always smiling, always willing to lend a helping hand, and always lifting up the people who surround him.
Wishing you a Sunday that is fun of blessings, warmth, and joy!
Sincerely,
Rachel
PS. Since I love to read blogs on Sunday, I'm hoping you will too! Make sure and check back each Sunday to find out the latest news & happenings.
