Sunday Happ(y)enings, June 27, 2021

Happy Sunday Y'all!  Another week of summer has gone into the books, and boy has it been a fun one.  At our house, we've been a little extra lazy this week.  We stayed in our pajamas a little bit too long, laid on the couch an extra too much, and left the dishes sit in the sink more than the appropriate time.  Anyone else feel the same way?  I'm not sure if it was the warm sun and cool breeze this week or just the letting go for summertime feeling.  It's hard to believe that the kids have been out for over a month already...where is time going!

I'm so glad you have been following our "Meet the Team" Week.  If you want to find out more fun things about Mary, Laurie, Ashton, or Cathy, just click on their names and it will take you straight to their sweet posts.  It's hard to believe that over the last 22 years 70+ wonderful ladies and one precious young man have worked in our sweet blue home.  They have taught me so much during my time at Ye Peddler, and they are truly the essence of our business.  During our June First Friday Event, a large family came in shopping.  Y'all!  Their sweet mom/grandmother had worked for Mrs. Porter years ago at Ye Peddler and they had celebrated her life earlier that day. Her daughter shared that it had been her favorite job during her lifetime, and they wanted to celebrate her lat our First Friday event!  I'm getting goosebumps just typing this out.  Seeing we hadn't hosted a First Friday in months, I can't help but think that "You Know Who" had His hand right on in this!

Well, needless to say we will be hosting First Friday again this Friday Night!  It's going to be the "FOURTH & FRIENDS" from 5-8pm...and, YES!  We will be having another signature drink that I've been working on at home, so get ready for Rachel's Red, White & Blue Mojitos.  Watch for our email this week for more details about the event.
