Ye Peddler Story

Ye Peddler first opened its doors in 1974, founded by Mrs. Peggy Porter with a vision to bring beautiful gifts, home decor, and timeless treasures to the heart of Columbia, Tennessee. From the very beginning, Ye Peddler became known as a place where customers were treated like family, hospitality mattered, and every detail — from the perfect gift to a beautifully wrapped package — was handled with care.

In 1999, Ye Peddler found a new chapter under the ownership of Rachel Hughes. With a shared appreciation for Southern hospitality and a passion for helping customers create meaningful homes and joyful moments, Rachel carried forward the traditions Peggy Porter began — while also expanding the store’s vision for the future.

Today, Ye Peddler is proud to offer a thoughtfully curated collection for home, kitchen & table, gifts, and boutique apparel. We’re honored to host The Everyday Registry, helping brides and families celebrate life’s most meaningful moments with collections that are beautiful, practical, and full of heart.

At Ye Peddler, we believe in the art of gathering, the joy of giving, and the beauty found in life’s everyday moments. Our mission has remained the same since 1974: to serve our community with kindness, faith, and a little Southern charm.

Whether you’re shopping for a special gift, building your dream registry, or simply looking to bring beauty to your home, we’re so glad you’re here. After all these years, we still believe the best part of our business is the people we get to serve.

Welcome to Ye Peddler — where tradition and hospitality never go out of style.
